چکیده
Objetive: To compare in vitro bacterial adherence on teeth submitted to whitening with 50% ethanolic extract of Musa paradisiaca and 35% hydrogen peroxide. Material Methods: The study was experimental used 18 premolars that were grouped into: G1 (control), G2 (50% ethanol paradisiaca) G3 (35% peroxide). then exposed a Streptococcus mutans culture for 24 hours, followed by centrifugation thioglycolate broth. A trypticase soy agar done 1 100 dilution, after 48 hours colony forming units (CFU) counted. Statistical analysis performed using the ANOVA test, complemented Bonferroni post-hoc. Results: Bacterial 77x105 CFU/ml Group 3 peroxide, 40x105 2 paradisiaca, 89x104 (control). difference between three groups significant (p=0.000). Conclusion: Both methods cause tooth surface, although lower degree paradisiaca.eses.

Plant defense induced in in vitro propagated banana (Musa paradisiaca) plantlets by Fusarium derived elicitors.
Perception of microbial signal molecules is part of the strategy evolved by plants to survive attacks by potential pathogens. To gain a more complete understanding of the early signaling events involved in these responses, we used fungal components of Fusarium under in vitro condition and checked the rise in signal molecule, salicylic acid (SA), and marker enzymes in defense reactions against t...
متن کاملIn Vitro Screening of the Leaves of Musa Paradisiaca for Anthelmintic Activity
Helminthosis is one of the major problems of livestock production throughout the world, particularly in tropical and subtropical areas. Chemical control of helminths is in practice in most of the parts of the world. The problem of the development of resistance against the common chemical anthelmintics has renewed the interest in the study of medicinal plants for the development of novel anthelm...
متن کاملAntidiarrhoeal Activity of Musa paradisiaca Sap in Wistar Rats
The folkloric claim of Musa paradisiaca sap in the management of diarrhoea is yet to be substantiated or refuted with scientific data. Therefore, the aim of the current study was to screen the sap of M. paradisiaca for both its secondary metabolites and antidiarrhoeal activity at 0.25, 0.50, and 1.00 mL in rats. Secondary metabolites were screened using standard methods while the antidiarrhoeal...
